5 O’clock Somewhere

I was cleaning off my desk today and found this cute frog and the slide frame.....Soooo as with everything in my life, I got distracted. 

I made this with a challenge in mind, it is over at the 

1.  Pile It On Challenge #33 bingo. I used embossing, pearls and image. I colored him with my Spectrum markers. 
2. Outlawz Cool and Refreshing. It ends tomorrow so hurry over. But there will be a new one on Saturday. I think he looks very cool.

Birthday Boy Elephant....

Well, I finally got a chance to finish up my blue elephant. I really am having fun coloring these. He is from Mo’s Digital Pencil and called I forgot. 

I used my Spectrum markers to color him. Then I used my die from Stampin’ Up to die cut the white. To make the blue layer I traced around the outside edge of the die and hand cut it. 

I took the scraps from the front and cut them into 4 3/8” x about 2”  rectangles then just cut down the center to make the waves. My templates haven’t arrived yet from Kiwi Lane. What a smart idea, wish I’d thought of it.

Then I inked around all the edges and drew the doodles to give it some pop. Stamped the birthday using Close to my heart and found buttons for the boy, well except for the y its a felt sticker.

The Horse Whisperer has Arrived

This is a wonderfully fun stamp. Let me introduce you to the “Horse Whisperer”.  She is a Charles Bristow creation. She can be snatched up over at the Queen Kat Designs site.

I think she makes a wonderful birthday card for the cowboy in your life. She is heading to the barn looking for her horse.

• QKD- Horse whisperer stamp
• Retired SU DSP
• SU soft Suede cs
• Tim Holtz embossing folder
• twine
• faded corduroy distress ink

Cut the side panels at 4 1/8 x 1 7/16. Then cut the suede 1/8 large. Center panel is 4 1/8 x 2 1/8.

Greeting Farm Fun.

I got to play with my Creepin Kids again. I need to take time to stamp some of the other kids. I’ve used up all from the last stamping session. The sentiment is from Create TLC.

The card was a thank you gift in an order I received awhile back. I added the die cut from Papertreyink.com called “cover plate: Hexagon”. There is some cool things you can do with this. It even has a matching stamp.

This was an easy card to throw together. I used the base and then added the boy over the die and added the sentiment that I printed out.

My Circus Elephant for the Outlawz.

My isn’t she adorable...She is "I heart you” by Mo’s digital pencil. I flipped her to have the balloon on the left side. She was colored with my Spectrum markers. the gray is IG1, IG2, & IG3; The pink is PP1 PP2 and PP3; The ground is TN3.

The papers are from Stampin’ Up but they are retired. I have so much paper that it will be rare that you will see new stuff. The bow is seam binding that I dyed with one of my sprays.  The ice cream cone is a button I got in a large pack.

I think she would make a cute birthday card too. I can’t wait to make a male version. He is called I forgot and has a flower.

Outlawz Challenge Freebie ending on the 11th

This image minus the verse is from the Creative Freebie Challenge over at the Outlawz site. I knew kind of what I wanted to do with it but wasn’t totally sure. I haven’t been up to my craft room for about a week and this one was due before the 11th. I was so happy to get to play today.

First I used my computer to type the verse I wanted in Photoshop. I layered it over the image that Anne did. I used the spellbinders die to do the eyelet square piece and then I cut the image down to the size I wanted so it would fit with a boarder. Colored everything with my Spectrum Noir markers added the bow and then placed the flowers and leaf. Now it is hanging on my frig because I made it into a magnet and not a card. It started out to be a card but I like it better this way.
