QKD July Release of Christmas Candy

You will be able to get this cute little girl by Che Gilson over at Queen Kat Designs.

For this card I used some old Christmas Stampin’ Up paper from my stash to make the 3 banners. I cut them between 1.75 to 2” wide. Distressed with a green ink from Ranger. Then I just messed with them until I liked where they were. I pop dotted the image up and that is it. It is a super easy card to do.

The buttons on her dress and the candy in her hair has glitter gel pen so it has some sparkle.

I did distress around the white base so it matched the rest.

Hope you check them out in a couple of days. Remember the release party is tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed this card. I really like this little image. I’m sure she will be on some of my Christmas card this year.
Thank you for stopping by I so enjoy when you visit. God bless you today

Sassy Challenge

Sassy Studio is having a challenge that is use 3 papers for a christmas or holiday theme. So here are mine. I couldn’t choose the one I wanted to enter.

I won two images with her last challenge, these two steamPunk are what I picked. One is Victoria and one is Vivian. The 3 papers are from Stampin’ Up.

I used the Spellbinders ornament die to cut the shapes. The white has flocked snowflakes on it.

I hope you enjoy these cards and that you go check out her fun images. Thank you so much for visiting today.

New Sketch Book

So my last sketch book is almost full, time to make a new one to take with me. I like the size of this one better. It gives me more room to write the details. The last one had no room for that and the sketch area was smaller.

So this one is measures 6” tall and 4” wide with lots of pages. I took 12x12 cut in half then cut them into third (4”). The cover paper is from Teresa Collins and I didn’t cut off the edge that connected it to the pad, punched more holes with my crop-a-dial tool. The cover paper is glued to a piece of white chipboard. the back I left plain.

The pocket is made to hold a cut card that is the size I want for my sketches. Now I will have a good strong lines that are the same.

That is the card in the pocket. I can also use it to draw straight lines for my details when I want them.

It has the little magnet snaps from Basic Grey to hold it shut. Look at all those pages. I bond it with binder clips.

Thank you for visiting me today. I hope I inspired you to make something fun. May your day be filled with tons of blessings.

You’re a Star

Was playing around with some stuff on my desk and my pre-colored images. The only thing new on this is the base and the gray paper.

The sentiment is from CTMH. I cut it to do what I needed. That is one reason I like clear stamps its easy to cut them apart.

The image is from Kenny K. I love his stuff. I tried out for his DT but sadly I didn’t make it, this time anyway.

Stamped in Versa-mark and embossed with white powder, then heat set it. I love how it pops on the black.

Thank you for visiting today. Hope you enjoyed your visit. Have a blessed day.

Brown Sugar Challenge

Just found this fun new challenge blog. Its Brown sugar Challenges. This Challenge is Black & White with a splash of color. My splash is pink, can you tell.

The image is from DevianArts. I just love this little girl. She was holding a shoe?? behind her I cut it off. I think she looks bashful. She is colored with my Spectrum noir markers. I love how her eyes pop.

The black & white paper is from Bo Bunny and the pink is from Stampin’ up, Melon Mambo. The ribbon is also from Stampin’Up. I used Sizzlits to die cut the hi.

Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoyed todays card. I sure enjoyed making it. I will be doing one more for this challenge using Sassy Studio Designs. I was so excited to win their challenge for last week.

Digi Darla Challenge

The challenge is to make something with wheels. So I figure I would use the baby buggy from their company.

It is colored with Spectrum noir markers. I used Antique Linen distressed ink to go around the edges of the image, base and banner. The flowers are from Prima. The wire coils is from the end of the flower. I wrapped it around a pencil and left them poking out.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today and that you check out Digi_Darla’s stuff. May you have a blessed day.

Cutie Elf from QKD

He need one more showing I know you seen him on sunday over on FB but I think he is adorable. Check him out over at Queen Kat Designs Then go to Sandra Caldwell’s to find him. I am such a lucky one to get to design for her and Che. I have so enjoyed my 2nd month here with the Queen.

This is another easy card to do. Does the banner look familiar? It should it is a piece left from the Christmas Candy card. I embossed the card with the flourish folder then I added the banner and pop dotted cutie elf on top of it all.

This will be one of my Christmas card designs this year. So cute but so easy.  Hope you enjoyed this card and you get inspired to start your cards soon. Thank you for visiting today.

Eyelet Outlet Design Team Call

I seen a couple of days ago that the Eyelet Outlet was having a design team call. I think it would be fun to be on this team. So here is what I sent to them as my tryout. 1st is a pair of earrings using the screw head brads that they sell. I had some backs that had lost there stone. I will post in a couple days how I did them.

This is one of them in my ear.
Project 2. This is a card that I made using  the Greeting Farm image from creepy kids set. I used the same brads as the earrings to hold my sentiment on.

The third one I used Sarong Sassy from the Sassy Studio Designs. and the fish and duck brads that I got a very long time ago from the outlet. They look cute as accents on this card. I created the background with distress inks. I used this same image in a challenge and another DT call.

Thank you so much for stoping by and visiting me. You so make my day. I hope you enjoyed todays creation. May you have a blessed day.

Sassy Studios Beach Challenge and DT call

I bought her over at the Sassy Studio Designs. She is having a challenge on her blog. I thought it would be fun to try it. Specially when I seen this cute image.
Then when I was looking around the blog, I seen they were have a design team call. So I’m trying out for that too, using this card.

Supplies:

  • Spellbinders die (sun)
  • Distress inks: Linen, tea, stormy, china

All That Scraps DT Call.

I love the images at All that Scrap. They have such cute images that you can get instantly (digis) or in rubber form. They are having a design team call that ends today.

So here is what I’m submitting for my tryout. When I seen this swing I just knew I had to have it and I sized the girl to sit perfectly on it. She is pop dotted up. I have since learned how to layer on the paper so I can do more stuff and layering in more ways. I love digi stamps because I can size them for a scrapbook or a card.

I used Spellbinders to die cut the frame of the swing and a punch for the edges of the card. Used Distressed ink for all the edges.

The bow is made on a peg bow maker that my sweet husband made for me nothing fancy but works great. The ribbon is just something I received in the mail from a friend. I wish I could find more it is so elegant.

She is colored with my Spectrum noir markers. I like them, I could afford to get the full collection of them. The flowers are made with a punch from Stampin’ Up and pretty brads for the center.

Hope you liked todays card and thanks for visiting today. Thank you to the “All That Scraps” team for checking out my card and for a chance to be on your team. May God’s blessing pour down on you today.
